River “The Sax Player” Petein is a conservatorium graduate who majored in jazz saxophone. It didn’t take long before he realized that funk and house music was his calling. Apart from performing and touring with some of Brisbanes hottest bands – including Resin dogs, soma rasa, golden sound and afro dizzy act, River spends time gigging and recording abroad. When not in his studio remixing and writing house tracks with maberley and petein, he can be seen and heard across a variety of clubs, resturants and bars in Brisbane, with residency positions at cloudland, zuri and the family.
